A coffee table is a typically long and short table that holds beverages, books, magazines, and remotes. Within this definition is a large range of furniture pieces that meet the standards of use as a coffee table. Most often they are positioned in front of a sofa for conveinence. Ottomans can also be used as coffee tables by adding a tray on top.
